Volunteers play an important role in supporting patients, families, staff and the broader hospital community.
At Kona Community Hospital (KCH), the Kona Community Hospital Auxiliary provides volunteer support, fundraising and community connection for the hospital. Auxiliary members help strengthen the patient experience, support hospital staff and give back to local healthcare in meaningful ways.
Kona Community Hospital Auxiliary
The Kona Community Hospital Auxiliary is open to those age 18 and older who are interested in supporting patients, staff and the hospital community.
Auxiliary volunteers serve in a variety of ways, including assisting with patient support, working in the Gift Shop, helping with the weekly Bake Sale at the cafeteria and representing the Auxiliary and KCH at community events.
The Auxiliary also supports nursing scholarships, continuing education funds for KCH nurses and special requests from hospital departments for unbudgeted needs. Through this work, the Auxiliary helps connect the community with Kona Community Hospital and supports quality, compassionate care close to home.
