Jeffrey Palmgren, MD

Dr. Palmgren graduated from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in 2003 and was formally the Chief of Urology at Samaritan Health Systems in Corvallis, Oregon. He specializes in the surgical option for prostate lift called UroLift, which uses tiny implants to physically hold the prostate away from the urethra. This is a mechanical opening of the area as opposed to a traditional cutting of excess tissue, which helps to minimize side effects. The procedure is performed with IV sedation and patients are able to go home the same day. There is usually no need for a catheter. He also has experience doing nephrectomies, cancer cases, prostate cases, stone disease, bladder cancer, and incontinence. He sees a large variety and is comfortable with all general urology cases.
